| Butter Bells The butter bell or butter keeper is a unique way of storing butter, and has been used for centuries in Europe. Softened butter is pressed into the bell shaped lid and water is kept in the base of the crock. |

This creates an airtight seal for the butter, allowing it to stay at room temperature for perfect spreading consistency. Just remember to not keep it near your stove or the butter will fall into the water. Butter can be kept for up to 30 days. You should change the water at least once a week.
