nature, pulled me through that difficult period. It is in this light, this understanding
of love that my ceramics are made. I hope you find solace and peace . . . just a little bit, through my art and the spirit in which it was created. |

All of my work is made with great care and time. It is made from fine porcelain clay. Each piece is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, then carved and fired in a kiln to harden the clay. This first firing takes up to twelve hours with the kiln reaching a temperature of 2000 degrees. After the pottery is cooled, glaze is applied and surface design is hand painted. The work then goes back into the kiln to melt the glaze for approximately fifteen hours. The whole process for each piece may take up to two weeks. The finished work is very strong and durable porcelain. Lids lift on and off and may be sealed with a hardware variety epoxy. |
